Stunning Easter Walk to Explore This Spring"

A rainy Easter morning was as expected and a delay to the adventure was premature but the rain faded away and the options were presented with my choice going on deaf ears.
Susan tempted me to walk down the canal but not our local Chesterfield canal because that would be too simple.
So I trusted her judgment and loaded the car with three labs and off we toddled. Susan drove because she considered my driving a little erratic, which suited me. After all, it gave me a chance to watch a race that I had backed on.
It wasn't long before we arrived at our destination and per usual she was right, a beautiful canal walk at Shireoaks. A walk I would recommend to all.
The dogs agreed too, with everything a lab could desire, clean water woods, and sirenic views not that I'm sure the latter would be important to them.
It wasn't busy apart from a few anglers and the odd dog walker it was perfect and it wasn't long before Tango ventured into the water followed by Popcorn but Momo didn't fancy the steep walls so she declined the splash
It was a beautiful Easter Monday walk, without the usual hush and rush. To complement the day, a lovely tea room opened about a mile down the canal serving hot drinks, biscuits, and ice cream if that's your fancy. We chose the hot drinks and biscuits option - a wonderful day but not quite ice cream weather.
After our short break, we continued down the canal and even watched a very proud Angler reel in a massive bream and put it to rest in the keep net.
We all enjoyed the stroll down the canal, Two wet dogs and a happy, one old dry, and exhausted dog who will sleep well tonight.
