A Funny Thing Happened at Work

An old gentleman came into the shop on a collection for a neighbor

He was a little confused and was not sure what his friend wanted

So we looked on the loyalty card under the name he gave Mrs Newton

Her regular order was Turkey and rice Super premium 15kg

I told the young lads who were standing beside me at the till to fetch Mrs. Newton two bags and they went on their way to collect

For what seemed an eternity they had gone

So I took a casual walk around the corner to see what was happening

They both looked rather confused and were looking through piles of bags of dog foods

I asked what are you doing

They looked at me sheepishly and said we can't find that brand

What brand I said

Mrs Newton's Dog food

You can imagine what I said and the ribbings they took for it for the rest of the day. It turns out they were looking for a brand called "Mrs Newton's Dog Food" instead of the actual brand "Turkey and Rice Super Premium." We all laughed about it and the old gentleman even joined in on the joke. It was a funny and light-hearted moment in an otherwise busy and serious day at work.
