Do you trust your dog?

Do you trust your dog?

I hope so, but a story in the papers this week sent shivers down my spine

I'm not sure if you read it and I don't blame you if you didn't

The very thought of it, sends doubts through the purist of minds

The story I'm talking about is the dog walker savaged to death by the seven dogs she was looking after.

The full report hasn't come out but to put it briefly

A professional dog walker in Surrey was taking seven dogs for a walk

The largest breed of dog in the bunch bit another dog walker on the walk they where on.

When the lady who was supposed to be in control of this 'man made pack'

The largest dog of the gang turned on her and the other dogs all joined in.

It was horrific and I won't name the breeds of dogs for fear of upsetting you further.

This will now cause a lot of law changes and red tape in the dog walking community

My concerns about this are it will affect a lot of people who follow the strict guidelines,

but are we creating man made packs by allowing dogs to walk in these numbers.

I don't know for sure

But I know the Alpha male or the leader of the pack was obviously created by instinct and unfortunately this pack did what was natural to it.

I don't want to over state my case because I have no qualifications to back this up.

Unless you consider fifteen years in this industry and owning and walking dogs for over forty years

This definitely wants looking into and preventing it ever happening again

We love our dogs and need to know what could cause such a tragedy.
