Originating from the Czech Republic and created in the 1940s, the Chesky Terrier is a result of crossing the Sealyham and Scottish terrier to produce a suitable hunter for the forests of Bohemia.

Cheskys have a laid back nature and a more subtle drive compared to other terrier breeds, making them a perfect family companion. They're incredibly intelligent and easy to train, and are known as a people pleaser.

They are a fairly healthy dog, but are known to possess some health issues, such as a condition known as Scotty Cramp, which causes muscle spasms in the dog. The gene pool is very small for this breed, so breeders are working incredibly hard to indicate any known health issues.

Have you ever heard of a Chesky Terrier?
